If you are looking to de-stress and unwind, then Swedish Massage is right for you. I use a series of long, slow massage strokes to help the body's nervous system relax. Swedish Massage is based on five different strokes:light touch, gentle kneading of tissues, rubbing & vibration which increase circulation and tapping which helps awaken the body. I use massage lotion that is hypoallergenic and organic.

Deep Tissue Massage provides relief for those experiencing pain due to tight, knotted-up muscles. I start by warming up the tissue, this is vital. The superficial tissue must be warmed before I can go into the deep musculature. The technique must be slow or it could cause the muscle to tense up and make things worse. My techniques include the use of my knuckles, the backs of my hands and my elbow. Most important, Deep Tissue creates what many refer to as "good pain." This helps the muscle to return to its normal state. Deep Tissue Massage should be bareable but NEVER extremely painful. When I perform Deep Tissue I am constanly communicating with the client to make sure there comfort level is not compromised. I use a lotion that is hypoallergenic and organic.

Clinical Massage really gets to the heart of your discomfort and pain issues. I will ask you to explain to me your trouble areas. If you have one or two, the majority of the massage will focus on those areas. I will use a series of Deep Tissue and Muscle Energy Techniques to loosen up and provide relief to those spots. If you have three or more, you and I will decide on the three main areas we would like to focus on. After spending a majority of the treatment on those areas, I finish with some Swedish massage strokes to make the massage complete. I use a lotion that is hypoallergenic and organic.

I have received advanced training in oncology massage. I can treat anyone with any type or stage of cancer. This treatment requires me to take a detailed medical history so that I can provide a safe and enjoyable massage. As a student, I conducted a small outcome study on the benefits of massage on female cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. I found that many symptoms(i.e. discomfort, nausea) appeared to improve after a twenty minute massage. Cancer patients go through so much. My goal is to allow the client to forget it all, for a short while, and relax. I use a hypoallergenic lotion that is organic.

Chair massage is truly gaining popularity. It's great for people who are on the go or feel uncomfortable about receiving a full-body massage. I have a light-weight massage chair that sets up in one minute! Chair massage allows me to work on many so-called "problem areas" people experience(i.e.pain/tension in shoulders). I've been told the massage feels so good, clients don't want to get up! You can come to me or I can come to you or your event.

Reiki is a form of energy work from Japan. "Rei" = Universe and "Ki" = Energy, hence Reiki is "Universal Energy." It is believed we have dozens of energy centers in our body with seven specific energy centers going right up the midline of our body. Reiki helps those lacking positive energy to re-charge. Reiki can be done with the client in a chair, on a massage table or lying in bed. The client remains fully clothed and I place the palms of my hands around the energy centers or areas where the client feels pain. I've been told by clients they feel the energetic warmth from my hands and that the treatment truly relaxes them.
